Job Details

The Director of Sales Engineering will function as a technical lead for pre-sales, supporting the Placements sales team in all efforts to secure new partnerships. This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales, based in New York City. Duties will include building and presenting product demonstrations, illustrating the business impact of key features/functions of the platform, collaborating with sales to construct pitch deck schematics for various use-cases, consulting on best practice recommendations, and responding to the technical sections of RFP / RFI. The role requires the ability to travel frequently for new business opportunities.

Requirements


Qualifications/Competencies:

  • 8-10+ years of professional experience with a proven successful track record
  • Capable of contributing to broader business conversations beyond his/her functional expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to present complex technical capabilities and solutions
  • Experience with enterprise software, preferably with order management systems, CRM, and various ad technologies.
  • Experience in working directly with the C level of an organization
  • Strong client relationship skills with unquestionable ethics and integrity.
  • High level of energy, dedication, and an unrelenting drive to succeed and win
  • Prior experience in a pre-sales / sales engineering role is preferred, as is experience in building demos
  • Additional languages (Spanish in particular) is helpful
  • Providing direct support in the sales process to expedite the winning of new partnerships
  • Presentation of product features / benefits and related subject matter to customer
  • Configuration and presentation of tailored Placements.io product demonstrations to customer
  • An expert in the functional and technical aspects of Placements.io product and related integration points
  • Perform scope of work analysis for all new partnerships
  • Work with sales to construct a tailored business case based on platform capabilities most relevant to the respective customer needs
  • Communicate key customer requirements to professional services, product, and engineering management
  • Be the technical voice for sales to product management, support and engineering

Responsibilities:
